Every year we give out awards to those Wrimos who embody the spirit of NaNoWriMo and NaNoBoston! These are writers who go out of their way to set up Satellite Write-ins, attend every official event, create handmade items sold in our store to support the event, and more.
Our 2019 award winners are:
- Talia – Certificate of Appreciation for making and sharing vegan treats.
- Naimah – Charles Francis Xavier Attendance Award for attending every official NaNoBoston event.
- Marion – Certificate of Appreciation for her creativity and creation of handmade Merlene merchandise for the NaNoBoston Store.
- Marie – Certificate of Appreciation for setting up a Discord server in order to connect local writers online.
- Karla – Certificate of Appreciation for making apparel for the NaNoBoston store and taking the time to manage the store during events.
- Griff – Charles Francis Xavier Attendance Award for attending every official NaNoBoston event.
- Eddy – Charles Francis Xavier Attendance Award for attending every official NaNoBoston event.
- Annie – Certificate of Appreciation for donating handmade writing buddies to the NaNoBoston store.
Established in 2015, the NaNoBoston Beacon is presented to the Wrimo who best leads by example, who contributes to the community, and who works hardest to set a good example for their fellow NaNoBostonians.
The Excellence in Monthly Literary Overachievement Award was given out between 2006-2015. The award was retired when we retired Elmo as our unofficial mascot.
NaNoBoston
